- 8 oz (225g) pasta of your choice
- 4 cups (950ml) vegetable or chicken broth
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp (30g) butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup (25g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the broth and heavy cream, then stir well.
- Add the pasta, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer. Cook uncovered for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and liquid is reduced.
- Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
- Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
- Adjust broth quantity if using a different pasta shape.
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
