A quick and easy Korean ground beef bowl that’s better than takeout. Perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 cups cooked rice
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
- Drain excess fat from the skillet.
- Add brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Stir well.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Serve the beef over cooked rice. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef for less grease.
- Adjust red pepper flakes for more or less heat.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
