- 500g chicken breast, cubed
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 can (400g) tomato puree
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, and chili powder for 30 minutes.
- Melt butter in a pan. Cook onion until soft.
- Add garlic and ginger. Cook for 1 minute.
- Add marinated chicken. Cook until no longer pink.
- Stir in tomato puree. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add cream, sugar, and salt. Cook for 5 more minutes.
- Garnish with cilantro. Serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate chicken overnight.
- Adjust chili powder to control spiciness.
- Serve with naan or rice.
