- 12 oz jumbo pasta shells
- 1 lb ground beef
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Cook pasta shells according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- Brown ground beef in a skillet, then drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Add cooked ground beef to the cheese mixture and stir well.
- Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce in a baking dish.
- Stuff each pasta shell with the beef and cheese mixture, then place in the dish.
- Pour remaining sauce over the stuffed shells.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey for beef.
- Add spinach to the filling for extra flavor and nutrients.
- Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving.
