- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until browned.
- Remove chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger. Cook for 30 seconds.
- Stir in brown sugar, soy sauce, pineapple, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Return chicken to the skillet, coating it with the sauce.
- Simmer for 10 minutes until chicken is fully cooked and sauce thickens.
- Serve hot with rice or vegetables.
Notes
- Use fresh pineapple for a brighter flavor.
- Adjust red pepper flakes for more or less heat.
- For extra glaze, reduce sauce further before serving.
