Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
- Whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Add buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Fold in blackberry puree. Divide batter between pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely.
- Whip cream, powdered sugar, and blackberry extract until stiff peaks form.
- Spread filling between cake layers. Frost the top and sides.
